``There is never a right time for a family member to be ill or have a medical emergency, and living through a situation such as this with the added responsibility of having to work through all things pertaining to their care is overwhelming to say the least, and taxing. However, what truly makes the difference in maintaining peace of mind as you navigate through these rough waters is knowing that you have someone in your corner who is a skilled professional and a genuinely caring person, who has committed their life’s purpose to helping others; this alleviates so much stress, and Nurses Here for You has exactly those persons. When my mother had a medical situation that resulted in a hospital stay and me having to immediately drop everything to tend to her needs, I was all over the place. Nurses Here for You was there to walk me through step by step and patiently explain to me in depth the recovery and healing process for my mother, as well as reminding me to maintain self-care for my own mental well-being. The nurse even came down to my home and sat with my Mom to listen to her concerns and showed her the best way to care for her wounds. Their nurses's one visit outweighed the 6 weeks of visiting nurse services that were set up for us by the hospital upon discharge. They are extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Their skills are second to none and they are my go-to to consult with regarding any medical/illness questions that may arise. The nurse's hands-on touch and authentic commitment to care is what possibly saved my mother’s life. In another incident, my mother noticed that her leg was swelling and would not go down. I called Nurses Here for You and sent a photo of her leg. They assessed the picture and told me to immediately take my mother to the hospital as she believed it to be a blood clot. That same day my mother was admitted from the emergency room to the hospital and given vital medication to treat a huge clot in her leg. Had we waited a day or two and not acted, it could have cost her her life. When I say that Nurses Here for You is a life-saver, I say it literally and indisputably. Having a hands-on nurse may be the difference between your loved ones being here with you or not. I can never repay what they have done for me and my family.``- Z. Worthey
``I am happy to be able to write this letter of recommendation for Nurses Here for You. They are very caring and knowledgeable nurses. When I had my knee replaced a nurse came to visit me in the hospital. She always had a smile and kind word to offer along with her expert care. She always took the time to answer any questions, and to explain what was being done. Any person will be in good hands with one of their nurses as their caregiver.``- L. Vasquenz
``February 2018. I'll never forget the day I received a video from our nurse who had traveled to the hospital where my sister had been admitted. Most of the family lived out of state, but even those near her were not able to obtain clear information from the medical staff about her condition and treatment. As medical practitioners, Nurses Here for You staff are able to ``talk the talk`` with hospital personnel on a level we did not have knowledge of. The nurse even did my sister's hair while there, something you can see in the video that made my sister say how happy she was that the nurse was there! My sister passed shortly after that, but we have the video to cherish and the appreciation beyond words for Nurses Here for You's help and support at a time when we could not be with our loved one. Thank you with all of my heart!``- G. Rice
``Beginning in 2015 through February 2016 Nurses Here for You was unbelievably helpful as a resource and advocate for my aging parents. The nurse was always professional but more importantly patient and caring. As my mom’s health started to deteriorate the nurse would visit and guide me in communicating with physicians to develop a health plan. She was available for house visits. She raised my mom’s spirits tremendously during visits, conversing like they were old friends. The visits meant a lot to my parents and me. On occasion she would guide me in caring for them, particularly with properly administering tube feedings for my mom. The nurse made certain the tube was functioning and cleansed properly and that my mom was always comfortable. My parents had many healthcare providers during that time but none matched the skills and compassion we received from our Nurses Here for You nurse. She continued to assist my mom through hospice and to her passing in 2016. She brought more than the technical skills acquired by formal education, her innate compassion for people set her apart and makes her special. Recently, I reached out to Nurses Here for You as a resource when my dad’s health started to decline. Once again they were extremely helpful counseling me on methods to make my dad comfortable relieving me of the anxieties and stress that accompanies the care of elderly parents.``- Y. Watson
``I was facing a nightmare situation when my father who had always lived a clean and healthy lifestyle had fallen ill and was urgently taken to the hospital. It was during this admission that we were informed that he was suffering from a collapsed lung and stage 4 lung cancer. During his hospital stay, his situation deteriorated rapidly despite repeated attempts at radiation therapy. He was hooked up to several different types of monitoring devices with alarms going off periodically and I felt at a loss because I really couldn't decipher what the numbers on the monitors translated into. Even when the nurses would give me a brief explanation of what the numbers meant I still couldn't put the whole picture together so I decided to call Nurses Here for You. When I called and explained the situation they offered to have a nurse come up to the hospital to see what assistance she could provide. As soon as she walked through the door I immediately felt a sense of relief because I felt as though I had a friend who knew what was going on and could help me decide the best options for my father. I distinctly remember one of the first things she did was help the primary care nurse adjust my father in bed so that he could be more comfortable. When that was taken care of, she immediately started explaining to me exactly what I was looking at and what all those numbers on the monitors meant and how certain numbers were very important to keep my eye on because of what the lowering numbers meant in relation to my father's condition. One thing I really appreciate about our nurse that day is that when the attending physician came in to check on my father she started asking him questions and by the look on his face I could tell he was very impressed with her knowledge of critical care and procedures. He agreed with a lot of her assessments and even went as far as to ask her if she was a doctor. I especially appreciate that after speaking with the doctor she took the time and explained to me in layman's terms what he saw as the options and also the complications associated with my father's diagnosis. After seeing firsthand our nurse's knowledge of her profession and calming bedside manner I gained a newfound respect for her as someone who truly takes her profession and patient care seriously.``- D. ``My experience with Nurses Here for You was beyond words. I once had a case of pink eye that was so painful that I couldn't open my eyes for a whole day. My nurse arrived punctually at my home to assist in dealing with my condition. In caring for me she gained my trust with her sweet down-to-earth personality while professionally displaying her extensive knowledge in her field of nursing. She also drove me to and from the eye doctor's office for my appointment. She made sure I felt at ease the whole time and was so helpful in my recovery. I was so pleased with her services. Anyone would be fortunate to be cared for by a nurse from Nurses Here for You.``- J. Tirado
